A man, a smiley-face balloon and a fairly convincing argument that appearances can be deceiving.
So Happy is part of a six-print series from 2021 exploring how many colours could be created with just a few risograph inks. An exercise in colour separation, registration and gradients, with a graphic novel-inspired style and deliberately absurd poses.
There's no grand mystery here. Just that familiar feeling of not being quite as cheerful as the world seems to expect.
Printed in fluorescent pink, yellow and blue.
Created in 2021.
Limited edition of 10.
Signed, numbered, stamped and embossed.
Frame not included.
